Hitech is a boutique M&E consultancy founded in 1976 by Er. Goi Lai Huat. After 40 years as the lead consultant, his son, Goi Si Hao, is now helming the company.

1. M&E Consulting services
Hitech was founded as a M&E consultancy. We provide traditional M&E design services in support of building projects:
- Design
- Authority submission
- Tender and Tender evaluation
- Contract administration during the construction phase
- TOP/CSC
Traditional M&E design encompasses many building services, for example:

Through the years, we have developed many tailored designs to suit our client's project needs.
For example, we developed an automatic sprinkler system design that is cheaper to install and is less prone to installation errors. This was accomplished through performance design approach -- which cannot be achieved by conventional prescriptive designs.

2. PE/Engineering services
PE and Engineering services encompass many calculations that are routinely done as part of a building project. Some of our services includes:

3. LEW services & EMA licensing
Er. Goi Lai Huat is a Grade 9 (22kV) LEW, which qualifies him to be the LEW for the vast majority of projects. We offer the following LEW services:
- EMA Licensing of building electrical installation and generators
- LEW endorsement for COR, COC, SLD, etc.
- Application to SP (power turn on, PV, etc.)
4. Nanobubble Patent
Er. Goi Lai Huat's nanobubble generator patent covers a new method of generating nano-meter (i.e. 10-9) sized bubbles that is simple but effective. It has been granted patents in several countries:

- Singapore Patent Number: 2013047310
- Peoples Republic of China Patent Number: ZL 2013 8 0004380.1
There are many uses for nanobubbles. We are focused on two:
- As a cleaning agent by killing bacteria through the oxidation process
- To improve aquatic ecosystems by increasing oxygen levels
To date, he has been able to generate nano-meter sized bubbles filled with various gases (e.g. ozone, oxygen, hydrogen) as well as plain atmospheric gases.
We have deployed this at a cooling tower of a hotel in Singapore. By injecting nanobubble ozone into the cooling tower in place of a traditional water cleaning system, the Standard Plate counts was less than 100 and Legionella was undetectable (water analysis by SETSCO).
The system is also currently deployed to a polluted lake in China (collaboration with NUS) as part of the local government's environment improvement efforts. Based on initial results, we feel confident that this can be deployed to fish farms to good effect.
